Kendall Competes in Sheffield

Harry Kendall continues to make excellent progress in combined events when he came 10th out of 33 starters in the senior heptathlon at England Athletics Senior and U20 Combined Events Indoor Championship in Sheffield on 8 and 9th January.

He started the first day with a new best in the 60m (7.49s). He followed this with 3 good performances, 6.80m in long jump, 10.91m shot and a 1.87m high jump to finish 11th on day 1.

Day 2 started with a solid 60 hurdles in 9.19s followed by 2 personal best scores; 3.91m pole vault, a 21cm improvement and 2:54.27 for 1000m, a 5s improvement. His total score of 4727 was a new personal best by more than 300 points.

Harry is part of a strong group in Sheffield with members of his group winning both the Senior and U20 heptathlon events and his performances should give him great confidence for the outdoor decathlon season.
