Weekend Report - 19th/20th November 2016

Ben Cole Showing Good Form on the Roads

Ben Cole won the Swindon 10km road race on Sunday in 31:26, showing that he has recovered well from his recent exploits at the New York Marathon.

In the USA both Henry Pearce and Robbie Farnham-Rose had their first experience of the NCAA cross country championships. The National Collegiate event provides arguably the strongest cross country race in the world, in depth, outside the world championships.

Both Pearce, representing Tulsa, and Farnham-Rose, for Alabama, finished in the top half of the field, but were disappointed with their 106th and 123rd positions, respectively.

This coming weekend will be a busy one for Tonbridge athletes as there is an indoor open meeting at Lee Valley, a Kent Cross Country League, at Bexleyheath and the European Cross Country trials at Liverpool. Tonbridge will be well represented in all the events.
