News Update: March 2015

Tom Bosworth and Guy Thomas have earnt themselves GB Internationals and are awaiting final selection for the European race walking cup to be held in Spain in May.

Tom has also achieved the World championshiop qualifying time by finishing fourth in the recent top international event in Lugano he recorded 82m 32secs and is now hoping for selection for Beijing.

Guy competeing for England in Lugano in the Under 20 10k finished ninth with a PB of 44mins 32secs.

Guy has had a brilliant winter and trained hard (as those at the track on Tuesdays will have noticed...he has been joined by fellow GB international Cameron Curbishley who has also reached the time required for Spain). Tom has also put in some good performances recently breaking the British 10k record and becoming the first Englishman to go under 40minutes... he is only just short of the 20k record.

Just a note for those youngsters who might be struggling with their athletics both Tom and Guy moved over to walking early in their career finding running and field events not their best event but they have progressed to top grade race walkers Tom already competeing in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Dehli and a host of other internationals and Guy is making a big impact...he actually started race walking at the age of 8.
